Why a Devotional Journal?

Devotion is a word used to describe a person’s commitment to someone or something. It takes great devotion to stick to an activity, such as losing weight or working towards any goal. Everyone knows that it takes great commitment to diet and exercise every day. There may be times when someone doesn’t feel like exercising. It takes self-control and determination to stick any goal. Determination is also needed when committing to reading a devotional journal.

Devotional journals are journals that are meant to be written in daily. Much like a regular journal, a person can write their feelings on certain topics or things going on in their lives. The difference between a devotional journal and a regular journal is the purpose. Devotional journals are used for writing about a person’s faith and their journey with God. Writing in a devotional journal each day helps us lay out words that we may not be able to say aloud. We are able to write from the heart.

It’s My Testimony: A Devotional Journal for Women by Women is a devotional journal that consists of thirty-one essays written by thirty different women. I encourage you to buy the paperback or kindle book on Amazon. Ten percent of the proceeds will go to the Genesis Women’s Shelter. What better way to delve into a devotional journal and give money to a good cause?
