God Gives Strength to the Weak

Have you ever heard of the song called “You Are My All in All” by Dennis Jernigan? It starts off with “You are my strength when I am weak. You are the treasure that I seek. You are my all in all” (Jernigan). That song rains true for people who are weak. A person can be weakened by many issues in life, such as financial debt, the passing of a loved one, a divorce, the news of an incurable disease, and so on. These issues break us down emotionally and physically at times. Even though life throws unpredictable punches at us and when we feel that we’re beaten down, God gives us strength to get back up, to stand on our own two feet again.

In It’s My Testimony: A Devotional Journal for Women by Women, Cynthia Oyenuga mentions God’s strength. Cynthia states, “In overwhelming situations, I recite that I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me” (p. 87). No matter what obstacles are in our way God can help us overcome them. For those who have faith and belief in Him with all their heart; He will provide strength.
